Sisters and Brothers,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio, I would like to wish you all a Very Happy, Prosperous and SAFE New Year.

In 2013, we hope that those who we serve recognize that we are not the cause of the current economic conditions and that safe communities are strong communities.  We hope that the legislators in this great state realize that right to work unnecessary and divisive.   We hope that our members are rewarded for their dangerous work with solid pay, benefits and pensions.  We hope that the FOP continues to be the most united, the most influential, the most inclusive voice for law enforcement officers across Ohio and the nation.

All of these things are important to the FOP of Ohio.  However, these hopes for 2013 pale in comparison to what we pray for...we pray that this is the year that no names get added to the wall of heroes.

Please remember your tactics, please wear your seat belt, please watch out for each other.  Please be safe in 2013.
