THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE OF OHIO
ENDORSES TOM PATTON FOR THE OHIO HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

COLUMBUS, OH -- The Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio (FOP) and its local Lodge in Parma have endorsed current State Senator Tom Patton for the 7th seat in the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the residents of Berea, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township and Strongsville.

FOP of Ohio President and National Vice President Jay McDonald issued the following statement supporting Tom Patton:

“Law enforcement professionals from across Ohio have no better friend in the Ohio legislature than Tom Patton. He has a proven record in support of those who risk their lives to protect their community. He is a strong leader who looks out for his community. Losing Senator Patton’s voice in Columbus would be a large blow to first responders and we whole-heartedly endorse him for State Representative.”

Patton was awarded Ohio FOP Legislator of the Year in 2011 and 2015 and is the sponsor of Senate Bill 5, legislation that would extend mental health coverage to first responders with PTSD. Senate Bill 5 is currently pending before the legislature.
